Please be advised that after the Public Hearing held on November 21, 2024, County Council proceeded with 2nd and 3rd reading of Bylaw 24-013 approving the amendment to the Edgewood Stables Area Structure Plan which will allow for the future subdivision of Plan 1312563 Block 1 Lot 1 into 4 residential parcels.

Please be advised that after the Public Hearing held on November 21, 2024, County Council proceeded with 2nd and 3rd reading of Bylaw 24-016 approving the redesignation of from Rural Agriculture to Rural General Industrial for Plan 9011051 Block 1 Lot 1 in the SE 30-9-22-W4. The rezoning will allow for the parcel to be developed with uses allowed within the Rural General Industrial District.

Please be advised that after the Public Hearing held on November 21, 2024, County Council proceeded with 2nd and 3rd reading of Bylaw 24-017 approving the redesignation of from Direct Control (Bylaw 1456) to Direct Control (Bylaw 24-017) for Plan 1711734 Block 2 Lot 3 in the SW 14-9-22-W4. The rezoning will allow for a place of worship and other uses as listed in the new Direct Control District to be located on the parcel.

What is Bylaw 24-018 about?

Bylaw 24-018 will consider the rezoning of a portion of the SE 13-8-21-W4 from Urban Fringe to Rural General Industrial. The Municipal Address of the property is 82028 Range Road 21-0. See a map.

The intent of the rezoning is to allow for the industrial type uses in the existing bay buildings on the property. A copy of the bylaw and application can be viewed at the Lethbridge County Office (#100, 905-4 Avenue South, Lethbridge) during regular business hours.

How do I provide input?

Adjacent land owners or potentially affected parties are encouraged to share their input via oral written communication. Input can be given on the proposed bylaw at the Public Hearing on December 19, 2024. Anyone wishing to provide written comments is encouraged to contact the County no later than 4:30 p.m. December 12, 2024.

If you cannot attend in person, you can view the hearing via livestream on our website. Please note there will be two other public hearings on December 19, 2024.

What is Bylaw 24-019 about?

Bylaw 24-019 proposed to repeal Bylaw 18-010 being the Coulee View Area Structure Plan. Please see the map showing the area of the Coulee View Area Structure Plan.

The reason for the application is that the impacted landowners have decided to not proceed in subdividing and developing the lands into County Residential parcels as described in the Coulee View Area Structure Plan, as such they have applied to repeal the Coulee View Area Structure Plan (Bylaw 18-010). Bylaw 24-020 will consider the rezoning of a portion of the SE 13-8-21-W4 from Grouped Country Residential to Urban Fringe. The Municipal Address of the property is 82028 Range Road 21-0. See a map.

The intent of the rezoning is to return the land to the original Urban Fringe District and allow for development as per the Urban Fringe District uses. A copy of the bylaw and application can be viewed at the Lethbridge County Office (#100, 905-4 Avenue South, Lethbridge) during regular business hours.
