Lethbridge County Master Drainage Plans– Public Engagement
Lethbridge County has retained ISL Engineering and Land Services Ltd. (ISL) to develop two separate Stormwater Master Drainage Plans for the Battersea and 8 Mile Lake drainage basins.
Battersea and 8 Mile Lake have both experienced property damage and crop loss due to flooding. The areas have been classified by the County’s Stormwater Master Plan as high priority areas that require flood mitigation.
Stormwater modelling for the Master Drainage Plans for Battersea and 8 Mile Lake is now complete. Area landowners and interested members of the public are invited to learn more about the project by visiting the project website. Due to risks associated with in-person events and physical distancing protocols in place as a result of COVID-19, there was no in-person public event for this project.
