County Commits $2 Million to Agri-Food Hub and Trade Centre
At the November 3 Council meeting, Lethbridge County Council made a contribution to the future of the Lethbridge and District Exhibition by committing $2 million to the construction of the new Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre.
Once completed, this world-class facility will showcase the tremendous impact that agriculture and southern Alberta’s agricultural producers have made on our community and region.
Agriculture is the backbone of Lethbridge County, and the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre will serve to host and educate the greater community on where their food comes from, as well as the countless opportunities that lie ahead in agriculture.
“Lethbridge County Council has focused on building relationships, strengthening our region, and fostering an environment that will encourage investment in innovation and technology,” says Reeve Tory Campbell. “With Council’s unanimous decision to make this considerable investment, we feel we have followed through on our vision of Lethbridge County being one of Canada’s most innovative rural communities.”
“We eagerly anticipate the opening of the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre in the spring of 2023 and look forward to working with Lethbridge and District Exhibition to further strengthen our relationship and showcase all that our region has to offer.”
