Updates to Shaughnessy Construction Schedule
We appreciate the Shaughnessy community’s ongoing support as we work to complete essential infrastructure upgrades in the hamlet.
Logan Street
Work is progressing, with upgrades to both the road and sidewalk underway. The contractor encountered unsuitable ground conditions during construction, which resulted in some delays. Ensuring the road is completed properly and safely is our top priority, which means it will take a little more time than initially anticipated.
- Sidewalk pouring is scheduled for the week of November 5
- After the sidewalk cures, asphalt paving will follow
- Estimated reopening: mid-November
3rd Street Sanitary Repairs
Thank you for your cooperation with the recent water use restrictions—it played a big part in allowing the contractor to re-line the aging sanitary sewer system
- Remaining work includes preparing the road base, graveling, and paving
- Estimated completion: mid-November
Shaughnessy Lagoon
Work at the lagoon site is progressing well.
- Estimated completion: mid-November
Community Hall access for November 1 fundraiser
Again, we thank the community for your cooperation, patience and support as we work to ensure that Shaughnessy’s infrastructure remains reliable, safe and resilient into the future.
