NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LETHBRIDGE COUNTY IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA

BYLAW 20-013

Public Hearing at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020

Pursuant to Sections 230, 606 and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, the Council of Lethbridge County in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider adopting Bylaw 20-013, being an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw 1404, which was given First Reading on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

The purpose of the proposed Bylaw 20-013 is to consider the re-designation Plan 1412687 Block 1 Lots 2 and 3 (as shown on the attached sketch) from Rural Agriculture (RA) to Grouped Country Residential (GCR), to allow for the subdivision of Lot 3 into 2 parcels for Country Residential use. The applicant has submitted a Conceptual Design Scheme to support the proposed re-designation and subdivision applications. The municipal address for the parcels is 214080 and 214084 Township Road 10-1A.

THEREFORE, TAKE NOTICE THAT A PUBLIC HEARING to contemplate the proposed Bylaw 20-013 will be held at the Lethbridge County Administration Building. Public Hearings will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

At this time members of the public will not be able to physically attend a Council Meeting or Public Hearing. As public gatherings are currently prohibited due to COVID-19, members of the public can view the public hearing remotely via livestream on the Lethbridge County Facebook page.

AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT anyone wishing to submit written information for the public hearing should contact the County no later than 4:30 p.m. on July 15, 2020. During the public hearing members of the public will also have the opportunity to provide comments directly to County Council by telephone. If anyone wishes to speak during the hearing, they can then call 403-328-5525 when invited to do so on the livestream.

County Council will also adjourn the morning portion of the public hearing to allow members of the public the additional opportunity to submit comments via email (planning@lethcounty.ca) or telephone (403-328-5525). Those comments will be relayed to County Council once the hearing is reconvened later in the meeting.
