Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Lethbridge North County Potable Water Co-op Customers

 UPDATE SEPTEMBER 24, 2018

The Boil Water Advisory that was placed on September 18th for Lethbridge North County Potable Water Coop water users has been lifted. Alberta Health Services has tested samples of the water and determined it is safe for consumption.

The Boil Water Advisory remains in place for some Lethbridge North County Potable Water Co-op water users. These water users will remain under a Boil Water Advisory until the sample results are received and the water is considered safe for human consumption. Sampling for the Iron Springs and Turin water supply has been completed and the water has been identified as safe. Residents are no longer required to conserve water. The Iron Springs and Turin truck fill stations are now open. 

PSA- Boil Water Advisory Remains in Effect for Some Lethbridge North County Potable Water Co-op Customers

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 19, 2018

 The affected water line has been repaired and water samples will be taken today with results expected Friday. Affected Lethbridge North County Potable Water Co-op (LNCPWC) water users will remain under a Boil Water Advisory until the sample results are received and the water is considered safe for human consumption. LNCPWC water users should call (403) 380-6918 for questions or concerns.

Residents of Iron Springs and Turin are not under a Boil Water Advisory but are asked to continue conserving water. The truck fill stations in these communities will remain closed until the sample results are received and the water is declared safe to consume.
Lethbridge County will provide updates as information becomes available.

PSA- Boil Water Advisory Issued for Some Lethbridge North County Potable Water Co-op Customers- Update

 

SEPTEMBER 18, 2018

A Lethbridge County water line located between Picture Butte and Iron Springs has experienced a leak and was excavated to complete repairs. The leak has since been repaired and water samples will be taken today with results expected Thursday or Friday.

Some Lethbridge North County Potable Water Co-op (LNCPWC) water users are under a Boil Water Advisory, issued by Alberta Health Services. The Advisory affects 180 users in the northern part of the County. LNCPWC water users should call (403) 380-6918 for questions or concerns.

The hamlets of Iron Springs and Turin were isolated from the affected line and are currently operating from reservoirs. No Boil Water Advisory or Order has been issued for the hamlets of Iron Springs or Turin, but residents of these communities are asked to conserve water. The truck fill stations at Iron Springs and Turin will be closed until sample results are received and are considered safe for consumption.

Lethbridge County will provide updates as information becomes available.
