Fire Ban Lifted in Lethbridge County
LETHBRIDGE COUNTY – Due to the cooler temperatures and recent precipitation, conditions no longer exist in Lethbridge County that posed a heightened risk of fire spread. Lethbridge County has lifted the Fire Ban imposed on August 9, 2018. This declaration is made under the authority of the Lethbridge County Bylaw #1423.
Fire Permit Applications are again being accepted by the Lethbridge and Picture Butte offices, as well as through the Lethbridge County website and County app.
Citizens are reminded that some debris is not permitted to be burned under Bylaw #1424, including rubber, plastic, and other items. The bylaw can be viewed at www.lethcounty.ca/government/bylaws. Violations may be subject to fines for placing prohibited debris in a fire.
